Founder's Statement

My name is Daniel R. Carlisle, and I am the creator of NorthStar PM — the world's first project management methodology designed specifically for Human PMs leading AI agents.

For decades, project delivery has been organized around three major approaches: Predictive, Agile, and Hybrid. These methods were designed for human teams — people who share context, communicate organically, and document collaboratively.

But in 2025, a new reality emerged: AI agents became part of the delivery team. They work faster, scale instantly, and generate large volumes of output — but they do not naturally respect architecture, guardrails, or human decision-making.

NorthStar PM is the first methodology built to govern this new world. It defines how humans direct AI agents, how work is validated, how guardrails are enforced, and how drift is prevented before it becomes catastrophic.

To support NorthStar, I built ZeroDrift — the world's first agentic AI drift detection and alignment engine.

ZeroDrift reads NorthStar files, evaluates AI agent output, and generates a ZeroDrift Score that measures alignment, hallucination risk, documentation integrity, and architecture compliance.

With ZeroDrift, NorthStar is not only a methodology — it is a measurable AI project governance system. Work is planned under NorthStar, executed by AI agents, then validated through ZeroDrift. This creates a continuous loop of direction → execution → validation, led by the human PM.

The development of NorthStar and ZeroDrift began inside PMTutor.cloud — the world's first fully agentic AI learning ecosystem for project management education.

PMTutor required AI agents collaborating on complex tasks, systems updating thousands of files, agent-led writing and refactoring, strict architectural consistency, and human oversight at all critical points.

The challenge exposed a gap in modern PM practice: AI agents produce work rapidly, but without guardrails the system drifts. This real-world pressure is what gave birth to NorthStar and ZeroDrift.

We have officially entered a new era of project delivery. Not AI as a tool — but AI as a teammate.

Project management needed a new model, one where:

This is not an academic proposal. This is a functioning system that has already delivered a large-scale, multi-engine AI platform.
